ROBSON TAYLOR FINDS REDUNDANCIES LOWER THAN 2 YEARS AGO
Robson Taylor is the market leading IT Sales recruiter. The company specialises in finding high-level sales and pre and post sales people for Telecoms and Technology companies in the UK and Europe and has carried out a survey to determine why recently registered candidates are looking for a new opportunity.
• Interestingly only 20% of Robson Taylor’s recently registered candidates had been made redundant. This compares with 25% made redundant when Robson Taylor carried out the same survey back in June 2006.
• However, 17% were looking to move because they were uncertain about the future of the company. Many of these candidates’ current employers had recently been taken over by another company.
• 29% of candidates surveyed wanted to leave their current job to progress their career and earn more money.
• 23% were not happy in their current position. Many of these unhappy candidates disagreed with the strategy followed by management. A good number said that the lack of internal resources was their main motivation to move on.
• The remainder cited a variety of reasons for registering with the leading IT sales recruiter including lack of faith in their companies’ products and or services, being misled about the role, to relocate, because they had finished a contract or studying break and because they had been headhunted.
Kevin Buller, CEO of Robson Taylor, said: “We have seen a dramatic increase in the number of European vacancies that we are working on. Robson Taylor’s European division has expanded rapidly over the past 12 months as an increasing number of clients look to utilise our expertise in sourcing high calibre candidates for difficult to fill roles in Western Europe.”
