SALES EXECS GO FURTHER THAN MOST!

Robson Taylor, leading IT and Telecoms Sales Recruiter, has found that IT and Telecoms Sales executives are prepared to travel an hour or more each way to get to work. This is + 30% more than the national average commuting time for workers in all sectors, which is 45 minutes.

Robson Taylor has offices throughout England and Scotland and specialises in finding high-level sales people for Telecoms and Technology companies. The company asked several hundred candidates on their books how far they were willing to commute and found that:

• Sales executives based in North and South of England were generally willing to travel for up to 1 hour and 15 minutes each way.
• Executives in the Midlands were willing to travel for up to an hour.
• Candidates in Europe were generally even more flexible, with many willing to relocate to another city.

Kevin Buller, Robson Taylor’s Chief Executive, has been recruiting sales people for over 15 years. He explained that: “Sales Executives were generally prepared to go that bit further for high earning positions with good firms.” He added; “Incentives such as luxury company cars also help to make travelling the extra distance more of a pleasure than a chore”.
